I just don't feel like working

The work is too boring. So, guess what, I'm going to slack off today a little bit more than ususal. And I'm not going to feel guilty about it because I haven't gotten a great night's sleep in a long ass time. That's my excuse.
I got into an argument last night with a friend of mine about reality TV shows. He thinks they are a corrupting force in society, a reflection and celebration of the basest human characteristics. While I agree that they reflect the competition and rat race lifestyle we Americans embrace, they're just harmless entertainment. He seems to think that the masses are influenced negatively by what they see on the tube. It's just a reflection of our value system. May the best man win. Survival of the fittest. Pretty people are better. Rich people are better. Success is the end all be all.
Needless to say, I will be watching the Apprentice tonight. Someone's quitting this episode. I've been tuning into American Idol. They made fun of these two hopelessly dorky guys, and it kind of pissed me off. They were so clueless, they thought they actually had a shot. The way the judges play with the contestants like they're some kind of prey is disturbing. Simon relishes the opportunity to bring someone way down. Oh my god, am I actally taking the time to talk about American Idol. Whatever. It sucks.
